Holy Spirit, please help us to understand the power of love and forgiveness.

Please help us to see what each of us can do to cultivate and use the power of love and forgiveness.

For every person who has built or deployed a bomb, who has fired a weapon or thrown a rock at another, or who has merely spoken with unjustifiable harshness to another, help us to imagine, and strive to support, that person, including ourselves, saying to his or her victim,

“I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Let’s talk.”
