October 9, 1994

October 9, 1994

I recently had to go to a meeting for which my physical appearance was important to me.  And it was a bad hair day.  As I looked in the mirror, I said a prayer: “Lord, give me that appearance which will serve You best.”  I smiled at “my” joke, for I was reminded that I always  have that appearance which serves God best.

Then I beamed, as I got God’s gentle message to me: part of the appearance that serves God best so often includes a smile.
