“Lord,
I thank you for this moment.” I say that
often to myself. It has become a
frequent prayer or mantra for me. But
perhaps it has become a cliché in my spiritual dialogue. For I notice that, sometimes when I see
something I want, I think how grateful I would be to have it. “Lord, if you think I’m grateful now, you
should see how grateful I’d be if I had that!”
Now I see how I hold back. Now I
see the difference between living within the walls of my expectations and
living in an Eden
without boundaries.
