Radio waves are always around us. We choose whether or not to listen. If we listen, we choose what to listen to by
selecting a station.
The word of God is like that. It, too, is always around us.
It is in the footsteps of children;
in a story read by a friend;
in the shouts and whispers of loved
ones;
in the words and glances we exchange
with strangers;
in the printed word, from newpapers to
letters from friends;
and,
if we listen for it, even in the songs on the radio.
