Dear
God, we pray, "Lead us not into temptation." Lead us not into temptation of only the
physical, economic or behavioral sort.
Lead us not into temptation of a spiritual sort inconsistent with Your
service or with sound stewardship of Your gift of life. Lead us not into temptation toward self-pity,
resentment, self-righteousness, bitterness, envy or extravagant anger.
