Pain
is pain. But fear is misery. Pain is now, but fear of pain poisons the
future. Besides physical pain, I may
fear the pain of disgrace, loneliness, loss and other problems. Today, however, I ask God for the strength to
embrace more problems and to work to solve those problems. In so doing, I can place my old problems in
better perspective, develop the problem-solving muscles God has given me,
better serve God by helping those in need, and free myself from fear of
problems.
