In
times of great comfort and satisfaction, one may hear the pronouncement,
perhaps thankful, that, “It doesn’t get any better than this!” This is then easy, even natural, to say. But each moment of living is a gift from God:
how difficult it is to accept that each moment gets no better than it is, when
the moment is full of loneliness, grief, anxiety, depression, fear or pain. The answer seems that God gives us the
moments. What we do with them is up to
us.
