“Ask
and ye shall receive.” This is the word
of God. But Whom shall we ask? Shall we ask a distant and separate God and
await a reply, like children who tell Santa what they want and wait eagerly for
Christmas? Or shall we ask that of God
in ourselves and take action in service of, and guided by, the will of God?
